Sambukina indiana
The “Indians” narrative
Sambukina Indiana is a quiet alcoholic drink inspired by the travels of the “Indians”. A recipe made with botanicals that could be found in the holders of those ships that left the coasts of Europe to reach the Americas, passing first through the coasts of Africa.
Sambukina indiana comes from the fermentation of a recipe of Prickly Pear and Topinambur. It is rum coloured with tear and smell of fruit, liquor and coffee. In mouth, it calms, without a bubble and offers a dense palate. Sweet ridge, pansified balanced by a bit of pungent acidity, very subtle iodate trace.
We recommend to be served at Sherry-Type Glass
Pairing Suggestions
Cofee, Licorice, “Babá”.
Sambukina storage and transportation:
Our stories are exceptional drinks, while delicate and fragile.
The sediments that can be seen come from the activity of the yeasts in the bottle and show that it has not been filtered into the processing process. The bottles must always be kept vertical, at a temperature of about 12ºC (maximum 14 ºC, minimum 11ºC) and not turmoiled. This way there will be no turbids and you will be able to enjoy Sambukina fully.
As a result of transport to your cellar, the sediments may have been re-suspended .If you find this inconvenient, let the bottle rest vertically for a period of three days to a week. Set it to cool the day before its consumption. The preferred temperature of service is indicated on the back of each label.
